Kerbside Recyclable
- You can recycle in your paper recycling bin at home
- Made of paper and a small amount of PE, which doesn’t affect the recyclability status
- They have a white paper face finish
- Not suitable for gels or liquids
- You cannot use a zipper with this material
Recyclable Film
- Widely recyclable at your local large storefront
- Made from PE/PE EVOH
- Available in white or clear, with matt or gloss finishes
- Recyclable zipper
- Excellent barrier properties, prevents water vapour, grease and odour
- Suitable for liquids, frozen food and dry food
Compostable Pouches
- Material composts over 26 weeks in your food waste bin
- The zipper is industrially compostable, it will compost in your home compost bin but may take a little longer than 26 weeks.
- Made from paper, metallised cellulose and Bio polymer
- The appearance is a white matt paper finish
- Long shelf life for wide range of products apart from gels or liquids

Source Reduction benefits to using pouches
In the waste management hierachy, the most preferred options are Source Reduction and Reuse.
Reusing the same packaging means, for example, using the same cup for refills in your local coffee shop. Source reduction means that a 5g recyclable flexible packaging is better than 50g rigid plastic container, which is also better than 200g of a glass jar for the same amount of product.
